Premiere Pro Audio & Photoshop Tips, Cell Phone As Scanner

AUDIO: Have you ever had to assemble a video from many different scenes, or create a fast paced movie trailer and been troubled by the sudden and jarring audio changes? Terry Syndergaard's recent Art Institute assignment — teaching Theatrical Stage Design to Chinese students called him to showcase several versions of “Alice In Wonderland” using Adobe Premiere Pro. He noticed the abrupt audio changes between clips spoiled the watch-ability. He will demonstrate the amazingly simple fix applied to adjoining clips in Premiere's audio track. Terry will also demonstrate the auditory difference between a Constant Power transition and an Exponential Fade. Just gives you goose pimples all over, doesn't it? But those seemingly slight differences make the difference between amateur and polished professional. The real benefit is that you can quickly explore these options risk free and you just might get a better result, if you care about such things, as I trust you do. LOOPING: Learn how to loop any section of video. clips, or transitions so you can play back repeatedly those times when adjusting subtle differences and timing makes all the difference. CELL PHONE AS SCANNER. Negatives, too! A 22" x 30" film neg is hard to fit in most scanners. Section by section is extremely tedious. Terry used to have to visit a graphics shop and pay $40 - $65. Learn how to use your cell phone and Photoshop to remove that little bit of distortion and turn that negative into a positive. PHOTOSHOP BONUS: How to quickly align two or more group photos fast for selective masking, replacing with best faces. This is way cool, worth the price of admission all by itself.
